Re: 2015 Mustang GT w/ Steeda Intake

lol the car does sound better at a lower idle. I got my maf dialed in. Started with 33%, probably ended up average of about 35%. Thanks for the starting advice. You don't get into fuel mileage tuning in your guides, but I hear cmd lambda of 1.05 is good for cruise cells? The spark tables completely ...

Re: 2015 Mustang GT w/ Steeda Intake

First you could check HPTuners tune repository, or did you already? I did check the repository. That was my first try. Nothing of much interest, except the Power Pack 3 tune. Which surprisingly is just a timing adjustment, TB ratio change, and slight increase in manifold volume due to the kit conte...

2015 Mustang GT w/ Steeda Intake

Hey decipha, glad to see your still hacking away at the tuning world. Im on HPT. I just got this car and didn't realize it had a custom tune due to the steeda intake. I updated the PCM with IDS so it wiped the tune off. Now it runs rough. Im just curious if you know of an updated MAF transfer to use...

Re: EEC-V and position chips

Haha as an answer to my own question, my jaybird wont read this TS. It actually shuts it off and it loses connection with the computer anytime the chip is plugged in. Oh well for that. What about moats f3v2 chip with the selector switch. Does it work with EEC-V 4 bank programs. The only reason I ask...

EEC-V and position chips

I came across a 11 position switch and TS performance chip off a 7.3 diesel.

The question is, can I use it for a 2000 GT with or without switch positions. I do have a jaybird.

Re: Setting Timing on 4v Swap

Not really. What table you would likely suspect? The only one I see that would coincide in these conditions is the BDL Lambse Modifier. There are no axis scaling marked on the tables. I could just 0 the table out. Im on CVAF1. All the other modifiers seem to be for ACT and ECT which doesn't change i...

Re: Setting Timing on 4v Swap

Ok I removed a little. Hey I noticed something odd, I thought maybe it was Tip In Retard, but it seems to be a little late. When stomping on the throttle, at least from a rolling start, you can watch timing drop to adjust to correct bdl values BUT .7 to 1.0 seconds later by ATMR spark drops by about...

Re: Setting Timing on 4v Swap

Are those NA for 87 octane? Seems like pretty low numbers, especially the high end at 13degrees. Of course I don't really have all that much experience with a 4v.

Re: Setting Timing on 4v Swap

Yea, car was commanding .82 lambse, which was stock open loop table in WOT. Remember from the post above that I had artificially high load numbers, so it was pretty much using the top row of the table, at .82 after 3k rpm. Since that first run before I posted on here, I had already leaned it to .85 ...

Awesome, thanks. I feel better knowing the ect is normal. Fuel trims are pretty consistently right where they should be via wideband except in those high maf flow tables. Setting Timing on 4v Swap

I threw together an engine. It was a 98 Mark Viii block, 01 Cobra Heads, 99 Cobra cams, Mach 1 intake, 47lb injectors left over from old build. Heads got a valve job. Only NA. 87 Octane preferable. I know you have valuable input with setting the timing curve on a 4v. I took a look at both your Marau...

Re: 99 GT 5.4 Lightning Swap - Fueling Errors

That's unfortunate. I always thought I had plenty of room lol. I verified no other fuel issues by switching back over to 93. Pump DC maxes at about .45 under WOT while still maintaining 40psi at lamda of .80 and lambase of .79. at 1.71% perload. My tables were slightly enrichened for the e85. I noti...

Ok. Upon making the switch PRLDSW to 0, the logger finally reads pass 1.00%. Is fuel pump duty cycle maxing out at 50% normal? 99 GT 5.4 Lightning Swap - Fueling Errors

Well, I am still having some serious issues here. I figure it has to do with my scaling... I can get the car to run. Fuel is way off. IMAF is jumping around like crazy, from about 160-220. Could be turbulence? I have an oval adapter with a few lines for IAC and PCV vent, then straight on to the LMAF...

Re: CVAF1 Fuel Parameters

Ok. You had mentioned entering a STOICH AFR adjustment and a few other things because of a project. I can't seem to get this car running well on e85. The tune is scaled for 80lbers (200%), and then the slopes are scaled for e85. I suppose I could try scaling MAF for e85 instead of the slopes. What d...

Also I'm a little confused on the scaling... thinking about buying some 80lb Fords after reading your article on why 80's are better. Re: CVAF1 Fuel Parameters

I re-read through it. If the PCM is always using the lowest calculated values, why doesn't it follow these low BDL knock numbers? The PCM never uses these low single digit numbers as far as I can tell with a log. The stock table is below. 2000 gt auto 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 6.0 6.0 10.0 16.0 23.0 5...

A few things confuse me about spark adjustment. In CVAF1 xdf you list the MBT spark table with the description "used for auto tv pressure calc" and you list BDL Knock table as "primary spark table" The BDL spark table seems to make little sense as a spark table for the ECU. Heck,...
